Are you, too, looking for the culprit?
Your phone is the thing
slowly hollowing out Life
this brick holding false light
washing our faces grey
leaving us feeling earthless and alone

Put the small heaviness down
and enter your existence
like you’re slipping into cold black water
Nothing on the screen compares
to the honest answers of trees
or the clues you’ll find
on the marred faces
of the people who love you
even when you’re not really there

The hunger for love is great

no point in denying this body you ride in

you ridin’?

you ride in

a river of your tears

and everybody else’s

and this goes on and on and on

The good news here is

you can follow this feeling

until you find yourself

on the humble ground again

and then you can slither

and feel your heart

beat against something

that will always be there for you.

Ask the Earth, who knows

the way back down?

the way back down

to the solid ground

A happy scene from a naked Holesome party.

Animals held in captivity too long become feral

we need the naked wilderness

to feel our noble selves again

we need landscapes
in which to unfurl

our tales

At the forbidden queer waterfalls outside of Montreal.

Leave the underworld

and get outside

Feel the sun on your bare ass

and leap around foolishly
alongside your companions

Be non-sensical and queer

eat fruit and be free

Let the water remind you

who you came here to be

Dom and Matteo in Mattawa, Ont. More beautiful Matteo thisaway.
Nick and Alex at the Estacade, a Montreal treasure.

Inside a bliss-filled togetherness we find

the words were all there, just waiting to rhyme

Once we remembered the tones of our heart

Then we could start

Then we could really start
